Motivation is Key in School

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 11:50 pm

The job of the teacher is to teach the students. If the students are not doing very well in class which is evident in their performance, something is definitely wrong which is why motivation is also important if you want the best to come out of the student.

If the students are not motivated, it is only right that you find out what they are not motivated. If the problem is only with one or two kids in school, perhaps there is a problem at home but if this affects the entire class, then you know that the problem is much bigger.

The problem could be your teaching strategy and this means you have to make the adjustment not them.

To do that, review what you have done in the past and see how it can be improved on. Naturally you can’t teach the same subject matter on and you have to move on so try to make the adjustments in the future lessons.

Instead of doing all the talking, why don’t you let the students do some research and let them come up to the front of the class and deliver what they know. You can also assign students to do group work or come up with other schemes, which makes learning fun and not boring.

When you are the one making the lecture, make it fun and exciting. There are different ways for students to learn and it does not always come from books. You may let the class see a movie or schedule a field trip to the museum or to some other famous landmark.

If you don’t have accurate details regarding Motivation, then you might make a bad choice on the subject. Don’t let that happen: keep reading.

Naturally, it is time to grade them so give each student some time to speak in front of the class. This may prove to be a bit difficult knowing that some students don’t want to answer when called so find some other ways to get to them to participate.

Give them assignments that will allow them to think out of the box. Since exams will always follow, make sure they understand what the lesson for the entire semester is about so they will be able to do well in the exam.

Aside from doing your share and they also doing theirs, don’t forget to reward them for doing well in class. You can do so by writing a positive comment on their work, saying a good praise with other people in the class present, handing out a few prizes or giving certain exemptions to deserving students.

Motivation is key in school because as a teacher, you are the one thing that shapes them to become whoever they want to be once they graduate. Will they do well once they leave these halls? Maybe and you won’t know that next week or the year after and only a few years later.

If a certain student did well, they may visit you one day to see how you are doing and thank you personally for what you have done for them. So teachers, take your job seriously because taking this position is not just so you can earn money and earn a decent living.

It is a responsibility that must be handled with care because their future is in your hands and this begins with a little motivation coming from you.

You can’t predict when knowing something extra about Motivation will come in handy. If you learned anything new about Motivation in this article, you should file the article where you can find it again.

Using Health as Motivation to Become Beautiful

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 9:40 am

Many people?especially women?don’t realize it but their health greatly affects their overall beauty.

Although beauty is such a daunting subject to discuss because it could be perceived in so many ways but one thing is certain: a healthy person is always beautiful no matter what.

Experts say that what most people don’t realize is that being healthy plays a vital role to the common standard of beauty? having well-highlighted physical features. Today, not only women are particular about beauty but men as well. This is because having physical comeliness can lead people to greater opportunities and can even give them better options in life when it comes to career and relationships. Although the beauty industry is now swarmed with various beauty products that promise instant physical transformation and bombarded with countless services that aim to alter a person’s nature-endowed features, more and more people still believe that real beauty lie on being healthy.

If you are one of those who would want to look and maintain their beauty for a long time, you should use the concept of being healthy as a motivation as early as now. Here are some tips and practices that can motivate you to be healthy, live healthy and to become more and more beautiful as years go by:

1. Eat healthy. This is the simplest yet the hardest part of becoming healthy and beautiful. Many people don’t realize it that what they eat is what their health and their bodies reflect. If you want to use health as a motivation to achieve long lasting beauty, try eating a well-balanced diet by loading up on fruits, vegetables and water everyday.

If you find yourself confused by what you’ve read to this point, don’t despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you finish.

2. Get into regular physical activities such as exercise. Aside from keeping your body well nourished by eating the right kinds of food, you should also keep your muscles fit by having regular physical activities such as exercise. If you don’t have time for a regular workout in the gym, try brisk walking or light lifting at home.

3. Make sure that you get enough rest. Having plenty of sleep and enough rest will ensure that you will have a clearer mind and positive outlook in life. If you have these, you will handle challenges easily and will help you avoid being stressed which is one of the primary causes of aging.

4. Take time off to relax by engaging in recreational activities. Being happy and healthy is enough motivation to look beautiful. If you can, take some time off to relax, reflect, and re-assess yourself. If you have inner peace, you will see things differently.

5. Opt for natural and chemical-free products on your body. Too much chemicals are known to kill cells in the body which lead to premature aging. If you can, use only those products that are natural or organic based so you won’t be taking in too much chemicals in your body once your apply these on your skin.

6. Believe in yourself, always. This is probably the best motivation one can get to stay healthy and look beautiful at the same time. If you believe in yourself, you will know your strengths and weaknesses. If you know all these, you can come up with ways to cope with problems without having to endure so much stress in your life.

Now might be a good time to write down the main points covered above. The act of putting it down on paper will help you remember what’s important about Motivation.

Healthy Eating Tips For The Holidays

Category: Healthy EatingAnders Eriksson @ 7:11 pm

So what is Healthy Eating really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about Healthy Eating–info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

The holiday season can be the toughest time in the world to lose, or maintain weight. Any festive season, whether it be Christmas, New year’s day, Thanksgiving, or Passover, shouldn’t be an unhealthy season for binge eating. Here are a number of strategies and techniques on how to eat healthy, and avoid gaining those extra unwanted pounds. .

Choose Healthy Foods

Instead of munching on pizzas, chicken legs, cheeseburgers, hash browns, French fries, roast beef or pork, ice cream and cakes, choose to eat healthy food items. Go for foods that have high soluble fiber content, from barley, oats, legumes, apples, carrots, whole grains and a lot more. If you’re choosing from a buffet table, sample a wide variety of foods, but serve yourself small portions only. Once you pick your favorite dessert, make it a point to share it with someone.

Eat Light And Healthy

Instead of eating the usual three heavy meals, eat five or six small

meals each day. Remember to eat slowly and listen to your hunger cues. If you already feel full, then pass on the second serving to someone else. Also make it a habit to eat a light and healthy meal before any holiday feast, because you’ll be more likely to control your intake afterward.

Those of you not familiar with the latest on Healthy Eating now have at least a basic understanding. But there’s more to come.

Exercise Once The Holidays Are Over

Before and after a holiday event, take brisk walks around your neighborhood, and to make up for the high-calorie food intake during the holiday season, increase your exercise levels too. Regular exercise helps to burn excess calories, reduce stress and reinvigorate your energy levels.

Drink Less, But Better Wines and Spirits

While you’re actually doubling the amount of cash you’re spending on wines and liquor during the holidays, it’s okay to do this, as long as you reduce the amount you drink. Wine serves as a natural tranquilizer, which helps reduce anxiety and stress. It also provides energy, since it has compounds that aid digestion and stimulate appetite. Red wine, grape juice, dark beer and teas contain elements such as resveratrol and quercetin, which help boost the immune system, fight cancer, and protect against heart disease.

During the holidays, remember to eat slowly. Savor the wonderful seasonal dishes, and take your time to appreciate each mouthful, but do stop eating when you feel completely full. And as you do your holiday shopping, remember to put in a wide array of healthy items into your shopping cart. Buy lots of green leafy vegetables, exotic fruits and fresh nuts, and share them with the rest of the family once you arrive home.

Sometimes it’s tough to sort out all the details related to this subject, but I’m positive you’ll have no trouble making sense of the information presented above.

Living Wills And Power Of Attorney

Category: Living WillsAnders Eriksson @ 3:29 am

A coherent patient basically has the right to make an autonomous decision regarding health care. He or she may decide to refuse or accept any form of medical treatment in the event of an illness or trauma. However, when coherence is absent, the duty is typically passed on to the patient’s immediate family or the health care provider. This is when the concepts of living wills and power of attorney become significant.

For as long as you’re competent and rational, only you can decide what medical intervention to accept. Needless to say, you also have the right to decline treatment based on your personal beliefs and preferences. The usual scenario would include a thorough explanation from your attending physicians as regards to the advantages and disadvantages of a particular medication or procedure. Yet, regardless of your reasons, the health care provider is obligated to grant your refusal to receive medical care.

On the other hand, if you become incapacitated due to a permanent disability or a terminal illness, you may lose the right and ability to decide for your own medical treatment. In this case, the important determinations will have to be made on your behalf. And if you haven’t formulated any instructions, no one will truly know what you would have wanted to happen.

Consequently, the health care team and your immediate family will have to work with professional judgment and presumptions about your condition. So before it’s too late, learn about living wills and power of attorney and how they can make the situation a lot easier for and your family.

Living Will

A living will is a legally binding document that allows you to express your wishes in writing with regard to medical treatment. It normally contains instructions as to how you want to be taken care of in the event of a debilitating illness or a permanent vegetative condition.

More often than not, two witnesses are required to observe the signing of this legal document. A number of states even necessitate the presence of a Notary Public. Apart from that, the living will should be consistent with

the laws of the state on the subject of advance directives.

Is everything making sense so far? If not, I’m sure that with just a little more reading, all the facts will fall into place.

Since it is a legal document, the health care provider and your immediate family would be compelled to put your wishes into action. On top of that, a living will would certainly guarantee that your decisions about your medical treatment would be respected no matter what happens.

Power of Attorney

A power of attorney used in health care enables you ? the creator ? to name an advocate in the event of your illness or incapacity. This person would serve as your proxy in the decision-making pertaining to your medical care. Of course, your advocate should have full knowledge of what you intend or desire to happen in case you become too debilitated to actually speak or decide for yourself.

Certain qualifications and conditions must be fulfilled before a person can be named as your advocate. For instance, he or she must be of legal age ? eighteen years old and above ? and must only have your best interest in mind. You may pick your spouse, son, daughter, sibling, a friend, or any trusted person to act as your health care representative.

In case you want your advocate to be able to decline any medical treatment and permit you to pass away peacefully, you must specifically say so in writing.

Although the drafting of a power of attorney is not necessarily required, you have to remember that the legal authority of your representative will only take effect after you have duly signed the said document.

So choose between living wills and power of attorney, and try to determine which of the two would work best for you.

Now might be a good time to write down the main points covered above. The phentermine act of putting it down on paper will help you remember what’s important about Living Wills.

Healthy Eating Myths That You Should Break

Category: Healthy EatingAnders Eriksson @ 2:53 am

You should be able to find several indispensable facts about Healthy Eating in the following paragraphs. If there’s at least one fact you didn’t know before, imagine the difference it might make.

Regular exercise, checking your serving portions and eating right. Healthy eating requires a lot of will power and commitment. However, there are a number of myths that continue to deceive dieters and healthy eating advocates. The key to eating healthy lies in how you check out the food items you buy, as well as on how dedicated are you in making sure that you watch what you eat every day. Here are some food myths that you need to watch out for.

All Low-Fat Foods Are Healthy

When you go to the grocery store, and you see food items labeled as ?low fat? or fat-free?, beware of them. Just because they have the ?fat-free? sign posted on them doesn’t mean that they’re truly healthy. The truth is that some of these food items actually have the same number of calories as the regular versions, and sometimes sugar is added to replace the flavor lost when fat is removed. By having more sugar, these food items will have empty calories, which may lead to you gaining weight instead. Fats come in different forms, and some of them actually are good for you. The fats that you need to steer clear from are trans fats and saturated fats. Monounsaturated fats and the fat found in olive oil or nuts are good for the heart.

All Fruits Are Created Equal

Not all fruits are created equal. Some of them actually contain lots of calories, which may help to add more weight to you. The healthiest fruits are those that have low sugar and high fiber content. Apples, bananas and grape fruit are one of the nice fruits, because

they contain high fiber and are low in fat and calories.

See how much you can learn about Healthy Eating when you take a little time to read a well-researched article? Don’t miss out on the rest of this great information.

Chocolate Is Bad For Your Health

While some so-called fitness advocates frown on eating chocolate, because they think these make you fat, the truth is that chocolates are good for you. However, you must also know that not all chocolates are created equal. High-quality dark chocolate is one of healthy variants, because it contains high levels of flavonols and antioxidants. Commercial chocolate bars however, such as milk chocolate and white chocolate contain high amounts of fat, sugar, wax and artificial chemicals. To eat healthy chocolates, try making your own unsweetened cocoa with sugar and skim milk instead.

Salads Help You Lose Weight

A large bowl of leafy greens is actually very good for your health. However, the problem starts once you pour in the dressings and other toppings. Some salad offerings include stuff like fried chicken, bacon bits, and thick creamy dressings, which are jam-packed with calories and fats. But if you fill up on the leafy greens alone, the salad mix can be very healthy. A truly healthy salad mix includes a variety of vegetables, mixed greens, beans, almonds, and a light vinegar dressing.

To ensure that you’re eating healthy, and losing or maintaining weight at the same time, eat high-fiber veggies, fruits and grains, but never skip breakfast. Instead, you need to stop drinking energy bars and drinks, sodas and alcohol, as well as lessen your intake of fatty junk foods and snacks.

When word gets around about your command of Healthy Eating facts, others who need to know about Healthy Eating will start to actively seek you out.

What is Self Motivation

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 10:12 pm

Have you ever wondered what exactly is up with Motivation? This informative report can give you an insight into everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Motivation.

Ever wondered what gets you up in the morning? It is the hope that comes with a new day. If all hope is lost, you wouldn’t bother to get up and that is one of the things about self-motivation.

Self-motivation is simply the inner drive in each of us that makes us want to succeed. Were you born with it? No but this develops as you grow older thanks to the help of your family, friends and school.

A good example from your parents could be you asking them to buy something you see in the store and they tell you to work for it if you want to get it. One option will be to offer you an incentive like getting good grades and in return, this is given to you as a reward.

If you are grown up already, they will probably tell you to find a job like delivering newspaper or mowing the neighbor’s lawn in exchange for cash. Once you are able to collect enough money, only then will you be able to buy it.

Such examples teach you one thing and that is to set a goal. Since a goal is like an ?X? in a treasure map, you have to plan a path so you are able to get there. If you are able to follow the right path, you will be able to get what you want regardless of the objective.

The best time to learn about Motivation is before you’re in the thick of things. Wise readers will keep reading to earn some valuable Motivation experience while it’s still free.

Not everything we want in life is going to be given to us on a silver platter and chances are, this is when you are thinking of giving up. Should you quit? Some people will but you have to fight that urge and continue on. By being to do that, you will soon develop the habit of never giving up and always finishing what you started.

We mentioned earlier that our friends and people in school contribute to self-motivation. While not everyone will share your dreams and goals, this is why you have to socialize with those that have similar interest. Studies have shown that motivation is contagious and if all of you have a winning attitude, there is nothing that you guys cannot do.

In any goal, there will be a few setbacks that will come your way. This will delay your goals but by learning from it, you will be able to overcome it. This in itself is what sets us apart from animals because we are able to learn from others and at the same time discover a few things on our own.

One thing you might learn is that there is some goals that are too far to reach so new ones need to be made. Does this mean we gave up? Some people will think so but there is something good that comes out of it which is our ability to channel our focus elsewhere perhaps to a certain interest or talent that we possess which in the end will make us more successful.

Self-motivation is an ongoing process and the only way we become better and stronger is to make a few mistakes a long the way and also face a few setbacks. In essence, you have to take a certain amount of risk because it is the good times and the bad that makes us a better person.

The Secrets to a Motivating Sermon

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 8:30 am

Have you ever wondered if what you know about Motivation is accurate? Consider the following paragraphs and compare what you know to the latest info on Motivation.

A sermon is defined as an address of a religious nature. For that matter, every preacher is capable of delivering a sermon. Not all sermons we hear, however, are effective and they can only be so if they become your listeners’ source of motivation. If you want to make your sermon outstanding, focus on the needs of your listeners and give them the inspiration to help them solve their needs. Of course, before you can do any of that, you need to find a way to connect to them first.

How to Connect with Your Listeners through Your Motivational Sermon
To connect with your listener, you need to share with them something that’s relevant, interesting, and enlightening. Keep in mind as well that the operative word here is ?share’. Be sure that you share with them first the requisite inf ormation

or story before preaching, telling, or asking.

Human Interest Stories
These stories are those that portray certain situations the human race experience, situations that not only evoke sympathy but urge us to reflect more deeply about our lives as well. Use this technique if you wish your listeners to realize how lucky they are and be motivated by that realization.

Illustrations
Simply put, cite an example or illustration of something you witnessed or you know about. Sermons become more motivating when listeners understand that what you’re sharing with them is something that could happen to them, too.

Quotations
Everyone can construct a sentence, but not everyone will be quoted for it. Quotations are special statements that bring home a certain truth. Use them wisely and sparsely; if you use too many of them, your listeners might not be able to fully digest the import of each and every quote. Use of quotations also makes them aware that people of authority are more or less preaching the same message.

The more authentic information about Motivation you know, the more likely people are to consider you a Motivation expert. Read on for even more Motivation facts that online you can share.

Historical References
If a quote is simply not enough then perhaps you could give them something more substantial by referring to an incident in history. The past is one of our greatest sources of wisdom. Research diligently and you’ll be surprised at the various lessons you can learn and consequently share with others.

Facts and Statistics
There’s something so horrible about actual facts and figures that make people sit up and take notice. They are best used when people are stubbornly blind and deaf to the truth. Because facts and figures are easily verifiable, they make a good way of emphasizing your point. Of course, don’t use them merely to frighten your listeners. Use it to call their attention but remind them afterwards that there’s always hope for change, hope is what they should cling on, and hope is what should motivate them.

Humor
Laughter is the best medicine in the world and this proves true in many ways. Adding a touch of humor is good for motivational sermons; it makes your listeners more inclined to hear what you have to say. Humor makes you less a figurehead and more real, a person they can empathize with and understand.

Technology
Use technology to make your motivational sermon more effective. Audio-visuals are always a great help; Power Point presentations and videos can provide supporting evidence for what you have to say. The Internet is also a considerable source of information and it can help make your sermon more substantial.

Lastly, believe in what you have to say, be motivated by the fact that you’re helping others and they’re sure to respond to you.

Motivation and Managers

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 10:27 pm

of something. This something is a person’s motivation.

Like a car, a person will need some sort of gas that will rev it up to move. The gas is that one thing that will drive a car. The same goes with people. Motivation is the single driving factor that makes people get up and go. It is that one thing that will make them do things that they should be doing.

There are different kinds of motivation for different people. People want different things for their lives and thus, they do things for different reasons. Some people are motivated by their need for security. This can be in the form of material possessions or security with their state in life. For some people having money in their bank account will make them secure while there are people who need to have a steady job in order to do that. Some people however are motivated by the need for recognition or achievement while there are some who are already content with having a network of people supporting them.

These different kinds of motivation will determine the things that people will do with their lives and how they will respond to people. For instance, people who are more motivated by recognition do not care about the money. They just want to be known or to be famous. These are artists of the worlds who do not really care if they earn or not. Their need is not to earn money but to show the world their art and be recognized for it.

Truthfully, the only difference between you and Motivation experts is time. If you’ll invest a little more time in reading, you’ll be that much nearer to expert status when it comes to Motivation.

Another example are women who are already okay being housewives and staying at home to take care of their families. It is not because they cannot have a career of their own, they just do not have the drive to go into the corporate world. These women are not motivated to be recognized for their work but to be loved by those that they love. These people are motivated by their need for affiliation.

Motivation is important in the sense that you will know how you can deal with people if you know how they are motivated. For instance if you have employees who are security driven, you will know that they need to be at peace with their jobs. They should probably given housing and car benefits. Other employees however need to be praised and recognized more than others. These are the ones who are more motivated by recognition. Anoother type of persons need to be given responsibilities.

The more the merrier. If they are not given these, they will feel left out. Others on the other hand don’t want responsibilities at all. They just want to be invited to concerts because they need affiliation.

Knowing what motivates a person will help managers handle their subordinated better. It will also easier for them to give them tasks and assign them to certain jobs. Hiring people will also yield better results if you find their motivation. After all, all you need to actually do is to hire people who are achievement-oriented.

These people’s motivation are internal. They are motivated to achieve and accomplish. You cannot get a better employee than that.

Those who only know one or two facts about Motivation can be confused by misleading information. The best way to help those who are misled is to gently correct them with the truths you’re learning here.

Getting Started with Self-Motivation

Category: MotivationAnders Eriksson @ 6:18 pm

Although motivation from other people can be a good start in building a positive attitude and outlook in life, this might not be applicable to all people especially to those who prefer to do things on their own.

If you are one of these people who would rather do things on his or her own, then now is the time to realize how big self-motivation can create in your life. Experts say that if one starts with the process of self-motivation now, it will be easier for them to accomplish greater things for themselves and for the people that they love in the future.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-MOTIVATION

Experts agree that for one to excel and be successful in life, self-motivation is very essential. This is because knowing how to motivate yourself would help you deal with challenges that would come along the way. It will also serve as an inspiration that would keep your spirit high no matter how trying the times are.

Although there are countless advantages of self-motivation, it’s saddening to think that many people still don’t know how to adhere with it. For those who would want to start with self-motivation, here are some tips that can help you get started with this wonderful and amazing self-discovery:

Those of you not familiar with the latest on Motivation now have at least a basic understanding. But there’s more to come.

1. Discover your cause or purpose in life. Indeed, the most powerful thing that can help a person get started with self-motivation is discovering your cause or your purpose in life. Once you were able to do this, you can find the reason in your heart why do you want to be motivated. The reason maybe for the betterment of your own self or for your family and others but no matter what it is, what’s important is you have something to hold on to in setting goals that you would want to achieve in the future.

2. Have a dream and hold on to it. Self-motivation is a not an easy task to start with. It would require lots of efforts and self-assessment to be able to maximize its full potentials. For people who would want to reap the benefits of self-motivation in the future, they should start now by having a dream that they could hold on to. The scale or the size of that dream doesn’t matter, it can be a big thing or a small thing, what’s important is the person is willing to do everything to achieve that dream.

For some people, having big dreams work on them because they are looking forward to big rewards in the future that is why they are giving their best this early. While some people opt to have small dreams because they want to make sure that they will be able to accomplish that dream and won’t have to deal with defeat or failure in the future.

3. Always be thirsty and hungry for something. For people who are just starting with the process of self-motivation, wanting something should never be enough. Why? this is because that alone would not fuel your drive to aim for greater things or heights. If you really want to use self-motivation for you excel and achieve success, don’t be contented with what you have right now.

It is best to always be hungry for knowledge so you are fueling your desire to learn. And if you are able to learn new things, you will be able to acquire new skills and even boost your self-confidence later on.
